Table Bookings is advisable. Walk-ups are welcome but preference will be given to patrons with table reservations.

**Please note** brewing is currently on pause due to costs, hopefully this will be resolved in the very near future - in the mean time we have a great range of guest craft beers.

This building was commonly known as Munson’s up until the early 1700s. The property was acquired by Greene King Brewery in 1720 and renamed The Chequers.

The Munson name belonged to the former owners. The Title deeds from the late 1600s contain records of Brewing beer onsite and the Munson family farmed many acres of Barley (main ingredient of beer) in the fields surrounding Gazeley.

Today Munson’s Brewery is independently owned by Paula Wright (aka: The Boss, The Chef and the Brains behind everything ) and Pat Spillane ( the guy behind the bar, with the slight Aussie accent ).

Paula & Pat’s Partnership began in 2007 with backgrounds with a range of broad and diverse skills. Paula ran ( and still runs ) a very successful IT driven, fibre and textiles business while Pat working as a commercial photographer with a mix of marketing and hospitality experience ( founder of The Old Cannon Brewery in Bury St Edmunds in 1999).

Paula started brewing craft beer here in the pub kitchen in 2016 and launched Munson’s Brewery to the public in 2017, the business has never looked back. The tradition of onsite brewing has returned for the enjoyment of our patrons.

During the Covid Lockdowns of 2020 we launched our own food offering (initially as a Takeaway service), which was the basis for the menu you are holding today. Many Wing devotees have said “these are the best Chicken Wings in the UK”.
