Welcome to Munson’s Brewery
The village pub in Gazeley was commonly known as Munson’s up until the time the property was acquired by Greene King Brewery and renamed The Chequers in the 1700’s. In 2011 the pub returned to private ownership.
The original name belonged to the former owners pre-1700. The Title deeds from the late 1600’s contain records of onsite Brewing of beer and farming of several acres of Barley in the surrounding area.
Paula started the microbrewery here in 2015, returning the tradition of brewing craft beer for the enjoyment of our patrons.
Paula also prepares the food we serve, the menu is unpretentious and is best classified as ‘Casual Dining’. We get extremely busy during peak dining sessions, so it’s highly recommended to book early (to avoid disappointment)
We also offer Take-away food from the kitchen ( order at the bar or online – click here ) if you’d like to party at home or picnic on the famous The Three Churches walk.
