24th March 2020 – Update
The UK Government announced a complete lockdown on all citizens, effectively forcing people to stay indoors.
Sadly, for the obvious reasons, there will be no Foodtrucks this week.
Great News.. We’ve been in contact with all our Foodtruck operators and at this point in time, they are allowed to continue trading, under the present level of Government restrictions that are in place for everyone’s safety. All the operators are currently focusing on setting up an online or text-based ordering system and a safe way of being able to get the food to you guys.
Once this is in place and if the restrictions do not need to be increased, then we could see Foodtrucks back in the village in a few weeks.
As for The Pub, we’ve been completely blown away with the support from the village over the last 18 months. We are carrying on brewing as and when supplies are available. We will open the Off-Licence section of the pub as soon as it is safe to do so and we can operate a safe method of serving the village.
We’re also working on an online purchasing system with a Drive-thru collection with allocated timeslots or free delivery within the village to minimise health risk for everyone. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more positive news.
